The course runs for one academic year (30 teaching weeks of full–time study), alongside a church placement for practical ministry experience and input.
Alternatively it is possible to study part–time, for two days a week over two years. This can be combined either with part–time work in a church or in some other context. If the course is taken over two years, then the teaching days are Monday and Tuesday in the first year and Thursday and Friday in the second year.
Men and women with evangelical convictions from all Christian denominations. We are looking for those with both a hunger and a gift for Bible–teaching ministry. We want to train students who are hoping, God–willing, to do Bible teaching work in the future.
For many, the course is an important part of testing their suitability for this calling. A number of our students will be moving towards ordained ministry and/or cross–cultural mission.
Some evidence of experience in teaching the Bible will be expected. This may have been gained in preaching, or (more often) in small–group contexts or youth and children’s work.
The course provides an ideal grounding in Bible–teaching for church apprentices, as well as for those who already have a regular ministry in their own churches.
